An Estimation Model of the Ultimate Shear Strength of Root-Permeated Soil, Fully Considering Interface Bonding

Roots can be seen as natural soil reinforcement material. The prediction and quantitative evaluation of the shear strength root-permeated is focus vegetation slope protection, in which bonding effect root–soil interface key factor. Taking roots Chinese fir trees an example, resistance test direct with different root area ratios inclination angles were carried out. results indicated that could quantified by interfacial cohesion friction angle. increased ratio, its relationship angle relative direction was: 45° > 90°.
